Our Story

This is a story of how one little girl discovered the power of journaling and grew up to create The Super Journals…

This is 8-year old Elizabeth

She had a big feeling about ballet. Elizabeth did not know what to do about her feeling.

She wrote about her big feeling in a notebook. Elizabeth felt better.

Everyday, Elizabeth wrote about her feelings, worries, joys, thoughts, dreams, and ideas.

Elizabeth had more big feelings. Life wasn't always easy. She wrote about those in her notebook.

She felt stronger and happier when she wrote in her notebook.

Elizabeth kept writing. Year after year after year.

Elizabeth grew up. Her stack of notebooks grew up, too.

Elizabeth did many things as a grown-up. She went to college. And graduate school.

She worked in TV news, and children's radio, and public relations.

Elizabeth wrote books. And became a mom. And a yoga teacher.

She taught yoga and mindfulness to kids. She created a kids yoga TV program.

She practiced yoga and mindfulness every day.

Elizabeth was very happy. She wrote about it in her notebooks.

Then one day a pandemic happened.

The world was sad and scared and separated.

Elizabeth's work with kids went away.

Elizabeth was so sad. She could not help. kids when they needed it the most. She wrote about it in her notebook.

Then she had an idea!

Elizabeth researched and talked to experts.

Science proved that mindfulness and journaling are powerful tools for improving physical, emotional, and mental health.

Elizabeth became aware that all the notebooks she had written in had helped her become a healthier person.

Elizabeth discovered that all the mindfulness she had practiced made her a healthier person.

Scientists also discovered that when you combine mindfulness and journaling together the benefits are even bigger..

Elizabeth had an even bigger idea!

The Kids Super Journal podcast reaches kids around the globe and teaches them mindfulness and journaling tools to help them with all the challenges in their lives.

The science-based mindfulness practices and journaling are combined into one super-tool to boost physical and emotional wellbeing for a lifetime.

Kids who Super Journal can do things like: identify, explore, and manage big emotions.

Reduce anxiety and stress and regulate mood.

Boost immunity and brain function.

Build self-awareness, self-confidence, and focus.

Create positive life changes after a traumatic event. And lots of other things, too!

What a child needs to participate is listening ears and something to write or draw with.

Kids can use these tools for a lifetime in a self-directed process to manage the challenges of the contemporary world and cultivate the joy and freedom inherent in childhood.

This is Elizabeth today. She is doing very well.
